I'm testing out my blogging software's ability to
add sound clips. Actually, since I couldn't edit the recordings I've done,
except to import them into iMovie, I put together a little slideshow with
authentic Delhi rickshaw sounds.
The photos were mostly taken during a taxi ride I
did solo. The ones of the ironing man and the scaffolding are from right near
our flat in Defence Colony. The sound is from a rickshaw we all took. Since it
was early on a Friday morning, there wasn't much traffic, and so you won't hear
the incessant Delhi honking. You will hear a bit of Claire doing her "beep,
beep, honk, honk" song. In the end there's a bit of Luc speaking in his own
language.
Once I am back on a highspeed
Internet connection, I'll find some free sound editing software and put up some
more sound clips without the slides. With the slide sit becomes a rather large
file, and so is probably a hassle for the dial-up users to download. If you're a
dial-up user, give me feedback on how this little slideshow downloads. That way
I'll know in the future what the best length
is.
