Two legs down, one to go

We're in a first-class lounge at Frankfurt airport. Our flight from Dulles was fine in terms of child behavior, but pretty dismal in terms of the quality of service. I expected more out of a United Airlines transcontinental flight, even if we were flying coach. Our seats were small, with little leg room. The flight attendants constantly bothered us, which is frustrating enough when you're trying to sleep, but even more so when you're hoping your children don't wake up to the "Last call for Duty Free purchases" warning. Despite this, Claire and Luc slept a fair amount, but constantly tossed and turned--not good quality sleep at all. They are holding up well nonetheless.

Just looked at the clock on my computer and noticed it's 1:39 a.m. back home. When we get into Delhi tonight at 1 a.m. local time, it will be about 1:30 p.m. Monday back home. We're hoping Claire and Luc will sleep as much as possible on the last leg of our trip. We'll all be out of whack when we arrive, so even if we spend the early hours of Tuesday awake and sleep through the day, what's more important is to be caught up on sleep.

On Wednesday I have to read some files from undergraduate Indian students applying for a Fulbright exchange program. Then I'll participate in a selection process at the Fulbright office in Delhi on Thursday. I'm hoping we have Internet access in our apartment since I have lots of grading to catch up on. If we have Internet access in the apartment, my future posts to the travel log should include more pictures--including Claire and Luc playing at the Frankfurt Airport McDonald's indoor play area.

Now we're hoping to shower, rest a bit, and get our money's worth out of the $50 we spent to hang out in this lounge.
