Holy Day (Ridvan 1st)

One of the Baha'i Holy Days, this is the Day in which the apparent abasement some had hope to heap on the early Faith was proven fruitless with a promenade through city boulevards to a governer's island retreat in the river going through Baghdad where people from the city came to give their respects. Today Baghdad is torn by strife - then it was an unexpected rallying of like minded people who wished the world peace.

This picture is of some of the Baha'is who could take off work that day - Sally and I are in the shadows. It was a nice April afternoon!
