Strategic Directions

A number of people have been approaching me recently to ask what help and information is available centrally about how local partnerships and providers can prepare for the new drug strategy. So far I've not been able to find anything much that's going on. So in response to demand I'm currently marketing a half day workshop for partnerships and providers that will look at

  • Strategy overview - key changes in direction
  • Meeting the central agenda while taking advantage of opportunities for local leadership and local decision making
  • Integration and mainstreaming
  • The challenge of individualisation
My approach is flexible and interactive - however no one will be required to hug anyone, hold hands or reveal deep secrets from their schooldays. Rather, I'll be looking to work with you and your team to explore some of the challenges and opportunities the new strategy presents in your area and how you can avoid some of the pitfalls. I'd hope we'd learn a lot, have some fun and come up with some creative and practical ways forward for your partnership or senior management team.

Cost will be in the region of £500 upwards depending on the number of participants and the size and status of your organisation (big rich organisations get charged more, small voluntary groups get discounts) and is inclusive of all materials and preparation. If you've found
New Drug Strategy Guide useful, but want to do a bit more work on local issues, this might be just the session for you.
