Organisational and Service development is a core part of my work. Whether is looking at the impact of a small local service on the lives of the people who use it, or exploring the role of a UK wide lobbying and campaigning organisation in forging new national policy in partnership with Government, this type of work is always interesting.
The work I have undertaken in this area in the past year has included:
- A large scale policy review with national consultation for a leading national charity
- A series of delivery focussed away-days for a clinical substance misuse team
- A review of a Drug Action Team's partnership and governance framework
- Reviewing alcohol service delivery and formal and informal care pathways for a PCT.
What people say:
"We were experiencing some problems with one of our service providers. Sara worked quickly and clinically to pin down the specific areas of defecit, giving us the evidence we needed to make changes. Her work was invaluable"
Laurence Wrenne, DAT Co-ordinator, London Borough of Hackney
"When Sara worked with the team on a new development project, she helped us see things not just from our perspective as a service provider, but also from a commissioners [perspective - and that made a real difference. She also made the process of planning and developing our new product fun - and that enthusiasm helped everyone's idea come out"
