Hello!
The album arrived safe and sound just over a week ago and we've been so excited ever since that it's taken us a week to blog about it! We picked the album up from The Angel car park in Chippenham and launched it the following day at the Cause. (We've had some video footage very kindly sent from the launch, so I'll do a video blog about it very soon!) We've been busy sending out all the pre-order copies.

The count down has kicked in now - 14 days until we hopefully get the album in our hands, so the pre-order button is now up on the website, the teaser track is up on myspacefor you to listen to (20 seconds of each track), and we've sent out the mail shot.
We're now only 14 days away from the big album launch, so here are some details for you...

Support Act - The Most Unexpected Band
Guest Musicians Pete Flood and Mark Southgate will be there to give us that bigger band sound. This is a bit of a one off, so to hear us play live this is the one to come to!

Hello!
We're in the studio again recording with George and having lots of fun. As we all record apart it's given us some time to do some work on the website. So in celebration of the album going off to press yesterday we've uploaded all the dots of all our tunes on the new album to the website. We also added an arrange by tune name feature, there are quite a lot of tunes up there now! Our new publicity arrives on Tuesday too. So it's all go and all really exciting times! Keep an eye on the site for more news!

Gleowien, v. to make music, to make merry,
A CONCISE DICTIONARY OF MIDDLE-ENGLISH.

We're now entering very exciting times. We're pleased to be able to say that the audio and the artwork for the album are finished and hopefully as we speak being combined into a wonderful CD. Because it's so close to arriving we've put a pre-order button up on our shop site allowing the purchase of the album at a knockdown price of £10 (+p&p), just until the physical product arrives (when it'll go up to £12), so save yourselves some money and order the album now!

As you can see the album is called Gleowien, this is a middle english word and we figured it was the perfect word to describe what we do, we make music and we make merry! It's pronounced 'Glay-or-we-en' or check out our audio file to hear how it's pronounced (with thanks to our Middle English pronounciation specialist Simon!)

We were surprised in the week to find that two of Jonny's tunes have been added to the website thesesssion.org. In celebration of that we uploaded the track to myspace. Keep your eye on our myspace site, we'll be uploading a teaser track from Gleowien very soon.

Hello!
Thursday night ended up being pretty much snowed off, but George, Clive and ourselves made it to the High Barn in Great Bardfield. We rehearsed and then had a pleasant evening round the table singing and playing whilst the weather did it's worst. We did make it home again, but the roads were ungritted around Great Bardfield and it was slow going. Here's what everyone missed...

Hello!
Just a quick note to let everyone know that we're playing with George Papavgeris on Thursday night at the High Barn Folk Club in Great Bardfield. This is a rare opportunity to see Jonny tickle the old ivories on the High Barns very nice grand piano and Vicki play the Double Bass. So if you're local to us then we'd love to see you there! We're in the middle of working on George's next album, so watch this space for news of that. Hope to see you either there, in Lowestoft on Friday or just somewhere along the road! We'll try to video blog Thursday as it's rare to see the double bass and piano, watch this space!
