Norodom Palace
By the way, the Reunification Palace that
Russell blogged about earlier used to be called Norodom Palace and was built by
the French for the Governor General.
Check out this web site (Reunification Palace ) which shows the gorgeous old French Colonial facade.
Unfortunately, the building was bombed and, being at that time the residence of Southern Vietnamese Leader Ngo Dinh Diem, was re-designed to his specifications. The redesign was done by a leading Vietnamese architect to ensure excellent Feng Shui. Bad taste, good luck!
