Who is Scott Kent?
I grew up in Stratford, CT. USA. I've been playing music ever since I can remember. My parents bought me a toy drum set when I was very young and later bought me a Ludwig Black Pearl kit. My first gig was at twelve years old playing for a church dance. That was the end of thinking I'd ever have a "normal" life. Drums were not my calling though and I started to play guitar at fourteen. I gigged here and there with friends before going to Boston, MA. to study jazz. From Boston I moved to Woodstock, NY and embarked on the"salad days". I spent several years in Woodstock and met some of the nicest most real people you could ever meet. I thought I'd try a couple years in San Diego, CA. and I've been here ever since. Over the last fifteen years or so, I've had the privilege of playing with many talented musicians in many different forms of music. Improvisation is where the music comes alive for me although I don't consider myself a jazz musician. I'd like to use my little space on the internet to share some of the music I've created at home for anyone with an ear to listen. The recordings are in MP3 format which is not the best quality of sound, the original digital mixes sound much better.
