Drinking the kool-aid
My leap (err.., stumble) into
bloggin.
Ok, I'm taking a shot at blogging, having decided
that I clearly don't have any extra time for this. Actually I was inspired by
the academically oriented blog by Kieran Healy and thought
that a blog might serve many useful functions for my courses, as well as bits of
life outside the tower I want to share with the big bad
web.
So, here we start things. First question that comes to my mind is, "what to name this thing?" I settled on The twinkling of an eye which comes from a line in the tune Desdemona from the Allman's Hittin the Note:
Time goes by in the twinkling of an eye
It dawned on me that a blog might be a way to capture some of that time which passes by so quickly.
