CD Cabinets
Since we couldn’t bring the blue shelves with us (and didn’t want to) I had to build something new for CDs. They’d been sitting in stacks on the floor ever since we moved in 3 years ago. I made this to look like the desk, since they’re in the same room. More Blum hinges. I’m not pleased with the oak plywood on the doors, but I’m at the point where I don’t care too much.
Before I started cutting any wood, we decided to make it one shelf lower than planned. Then we decided to take out the top shelf to make room for DVDs. In retrospect, that was a bad choice. For one, it doesn’t leave as much space for CD expansion. For another, it really isn’t much space for DVDs. Oh well. I can always put the missing shelves in if we make a larger dedicated DVD cabinet.
At some point in assembly of one of them.

View of the inside. No, I don’t care that the doors look like hell on the inside.
