it, this just ain't my kind of
movie.There is absolutely nothing wrong
with it. The writing is excellent, the direction top-notch, the acting superb,
the cinematography crisp and elegant. The editing is very good, too. Nor did I
find myself looking at my watch during it. It's even, in some sense, a period
costume epic, one of my favorites. It's

to write a review about that very serious movie you saw last week. What was
it?" And for the life of me, I could not remember. I had to go to
moviefone.com and look up "independents now playing in
theaters."In short, it is like
asparagus: fresh, tasty, very well prepared, and exceedingly good for me. By
all rights, I ought to like it.It's just
that I don't.
