2005 in Review

I got this idea from one of the blogs I read regularly. Unfortunately, I'm not sure which one it was. I am suitably ashamed; please comment and claim your idea.

The idea is to form a "year in review" by posting the first sentence or so of the first post in each month. Here's mine:
January 2005
"Phantom of the Opera" Movie Review
The Professor gives it an A+
Executive Summary: A sociopathic, deformed musician terrorizes an opera company.
February 2005
Gradual Revival...
...and settling into new home.
The new antibiotics I got on Monday, plus extra sleep, really seem to be helping with the sinus infection (which, yes, became bronchitis) at last.
March 2005
Farewell, Ryoko-chan
She's gone. My beautiful 2002 Subaru Forester, named Ryoko-chan. I feel like I sold my sister, or something.
April 2005
What's Up With Me
Diana, in this comment , asks, "Everything OK, SilverDragon?"
Well, no. Not really. Things at work are not good.
May 2005
Category: Movies, Fantasy, & SF
You'll find movie reviews here, and a few articles about fantasy and science fiction.
Here's my movie ranking system:
June 2005
Of eBay and Obsession
Camcorders, beautiful camcorders...
I haven't blogged for a while. That's because I've been spending all my online time checking eBay for camcorders instead of blogging.
July 2005
Recent Artist's Dates
Despite it all, I do manage to keep these up... Someday I'll even remember to bring my camera along...
August 2005
SIGGRAPH 2005 - Day 2
I'm tired and running on sugar and coffee (all I can afford since I thoughtlessly did not get cash at the ATM this morning.) The morning's session re: game programming education was exciting...
September 2005
Disaster Relief for Animals
To help animals abandoned in Hurricane Katrina, you can donate to Noah's Wish,
http://www.noahswish.org/Donations.htm
October 2005
Until the review gets written...
Found this at Lady Crumpet's blog...
You are Captain Malcolm Reynolds, aka. Mal or Captain Tightpants.
November 2005
NaNoWriMo Begins
The letter below says it all.
Dear Writer, What were you thinking?
December 2005
NaNoWriMo Postmortem
Statistics: Title: MacSidhe
Words completed: 34,674

It was a year in which I lost a job, my dog died, I had to sell a truck, and I separated from a husband (perhaps I should write country-western songs!) It was the year I completed my first screenplay, submitted that screenplay to a contest & won a prize, and started my first novel. It was a year in which I posted links to charities for extraordinary disaster relief. I also punted blogging by posting the occasional quiz.

To all my readers: Thanks for sticking by me. Ready or not, here comes 2006!
