Went hiking. Sometime during hike, place on neck started hurting. Got to Starbucks, looked in mirror in restroom-- TICK! Panicked, brushed at it-- IT POPPED!
Total freakout. Went to urgent care center. Doc removed remains of tick, gave tetanus shot, plus course of antibiotics to prevent Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, plus list of symptoms that mean Lyme disease.
Camera with (presumably) lovely pictures still in car. Am sore, tired, & scared.
