Better and Better

The chest pain may have been one of the best things to have happened to me.

Yesterday I felt as good as I did before the heart procedure. I easily outpaced my dog on our long walk, forcing her to trot to keep up the whole way -- something that hasn't happened for a while, despite me being in apparently good physical condition. Today --

Today I bounded out of bed early. I danced a jig as I was waiting for my shower to get warm. I feel, if not like a teenager, at least 10 years younger.

In short, the heart condition must have been gradually building up, and putting a brake on my ability to function, for a long, long time.

My husband, bless his heart, mistook my enthusiasm to see "The Incredibles" as an invitation, so I've had to change my artist's date plans. After I leave NoHo this morning, I'm going horseback riding for the first time in two years. Yee-ha!!
