Wireless Power

Apparently some researchers at MIT have found certain materials that have "long-lived resonances", meaning that you could set up a vibration in one antenna at a power outlet, resonate the same long-lived resonance materials at the receiving end and convert that energy back into usable power. This system could perhaps be efficient enough to wirelessly transmit power over several meters.
Man that would be so cool.
