This article is an interesting overview of the overhaul of traditional thinking with regards to treating cancer. It turns out that there is growing evidence of a small colony of stem cells at the heart of tumors that are vital to propagating cancer cells around the body. Traditional cancer therapy assumes that all cancer cells are equal, but eliminating even 98% of all cancer cells may not be enough if these core stem cells aren't eliminated.

Who knows how cancer will be treated in 10 or 15 years, now that this has come out?
