2005:

Cafes (most bars / cafes open up later 4, 5
pm onwards)
't Klooster - Vlamingstraat 2 - great beer list at good prices open 4pm, 5pm Sunday Locus Publicus - Brabantse Turfmarkt 67 - smoky narrow bar with good beer list and outdoor terrace to the front. Open 11am Bebop - Kromstraat 33 - Great place with Jazz music (near Locus) 't Bierlokaal - Gasthuislaan 36 - Old favourite with massive beer list and sensibly priced whiskies De Tango - Nieuwstraat 2 - worth a look for one on your crawl Stadscafe De Waag - Markt 11 - historical, behind town hall, if you must go in one near the square On Beesten Markt try: Belvedere Belgian Cafe - recently opened with terrace on square Kobus Koch - fairly traditional brown bar De Smoezer - lunch on the square in summer Restaurants (most open 5/6 pm with kitchen closing at 9.30pm) You can pick up a restaurant guide / leaflet from the Tourist Information near the fish markt - you may need to reserve in Summer. My recommendations are here: Eetcafe De Ruif - Kerkstraat 23 Nearly on main square. Open 4pm to late, kitchen 5.30 - 9.30pm LEF - Doelenplein 2 Closed Mondays Open 6 - 10pm Popular 3 course menus - best reserve - good drinks menu. Hattuscha - Markt 75 Open 4 - 10pm closed Monday. Tapas, Mezze, kebaps etc, small and cosy reasonable prices. La Taperita - Oude Delft 1 - Open daily 5 - 10pm Not too far to walk but worth it if you like quality tapas etc Beunos Aires - Peperstraat 5 - Steaks of course, good meat - stays open a bit later than others. De Kurk - Kromstraat 20 -Eetcafe worth a look Posted: Thu - November 10, 2005 at 10:20 |
