Friday 9th of
December 2005
We join our SeaFrance
11am
sailing to Calais. On arrival in Calais (1.30pm local time) we make our way to
De Dolle Brouwers
in Esen near Diksmuide to arrive around
2.35pm.
After some time here, we drive to
Ostend (50
mins.) and check in to the Hotel Thevenet (for
2 nights) early
evening.
Evening free in Ostend / Bruges /
De Haan area
Saturday 10th of
December 2005
After breakfast the coach leaves at
10am for
our day in Bruges. Beer
shop at
Zedelgem
to stock up. When finished here we drive to
Bruges and
drop off on t' Zand square. You are free to explore the delights of festive
Bruges for the day.
Meeting up in
Bruges.
Bruges Bear:
15.55 - opens at 16.00 (4pm)! Don't
be late - you may not
find a
seat.
The coach will leave to go back to Ostend
(30 mins drive) at 21.45 hrs
If you intend to leave earlier or
later, making your own way by train just let me know.
Sunday 11th of December
2005
The coach departs the Hotel Thevenet at
approx.10.30am
for our lunchtime stop at the
Pikardijn arriving around midday. On after
this to Hopland – Poperinge to our accommodation this evening - the
Palace
Hotel (or another in town similar standard)
and
Noel’s
beer store, old border tobacco stop and other cafés in
Watou if
you wish.
Evening in
Poperinge.
Monday 12th
of December 2005
We leave Poperinge around
11am for
the short drive
Westvleteren
(15 mins) if you wish to have a beer or two and buy some excellent Trappist
beer, then on to another café further north at
Houtem
Leave
here around 3.15pm to be in Calais for
4pm and the 5pm
SeaFrance, sailing to
Dover.
Cost
£175 p/p - 4 days & 3 nights
Based on two sharing a twin room
with private facilities and cold buffet breakfast. Includes all coach travel,
taxes and ferry crossings.
Pick ups: A12 – Ipswich Town –
Colchester – etc.
