Travel
[Australia] [Hamamatsu] [Kamogawa: 1 2 ] [Kanazawa: 1 2 3 ] [Kyoto: 1 2 3 ] [Nagano] [Nikko] [Phillipines] [Tsukuba] [Utsunomiya] [Yugawara]These following accounts form a travelogue of the various places I have been to and I hope to add to it yet with at least a few more trips. However, before you even begin reading I feel like providing an apology. In accounting what I have been doing, as briefly as possible, I feel like it has turned into basic recall, the kind of story seen written by a primary school student, filled with "and then" and the like, the kind of story which is anathema to the English teacher (English as a first language that is). What I feel lacks from these accounts is the essence of the various trips, the feelings which made them more than just an itinerary. Problem is I don't know how to put them in. The magic of Kyoto for example which keeps drawing me back to the place (seven visits to date). The splendour of this temple or even that moment which counts for nothing of significant note but still sticks in the mind as a really fun time. I hope the photos will make up for some of that loss. Yet experience counts for more than just pictures as well. The simple truth remains: you just had to be there. I hope you get something out of this glimpse into the areas I have ventured to that are away from my home turf in the Tokyo region.
