Myanmar Tours with Lay Ko - Part 2

Getting Started - What to bring:

Passport with a Myanmar Tourist Visa
Personal clothing- laundry services are at available at most accommodation
Sun cream/hat/Sunglasses
Camera/batteries/film
Cash - US Dollars (you will be unable to access any further funds once you have arrived in Myanmar). Credit cards are not accepted either, nor are there any ATMs.
Sensible walking shoes/sandals - suggested for tours that include Kalaw, in order to enjoy the stunning hill trekking
Warm clothing - the temperature drops at night, considerably in some places such as Kalaw and early morning on Inle Lake can be rather chilly!

What do I provide?

Experience & Licensed - I am one of the very few Licensed English Speaking Tour Guides in Yangon
Your tour will include all fuel costs, car expenses and road/bridge tolls. All my personal expenses are paid by myself and are included in the tour price
A modern and comfortable car. The car will be valeted at the end of each day for your comfort. Please note the car has no Air Conditioning (the vast majority do not in Myanmar), however it is quite comfortable with the windows down!
A large plastic dust-sheet to cover/protect your luggage. (it can get very dusty on the roads in Myanmar and whilst most are reasonable, we may find ourselves traveling on windy, dusty roads in order to see Myanmars most spectacular scenery).
A supply of drinking water each day
Whilst on tour, I am not only your tour guide, but your driver and as such, I will naturally stop for comfort breaks at your request and will suggest local coffee shops, cafes and restaurants along the way, inviting you to get closer to the people and culture of Myanmar
Recommendations for dinner locations each night and I will drop you and collect you from restaurants
Early morning calls where necessary!
I also carry an umbrella for those unlikely showers
Email is not readily available and the most common hotmail cant be accessed in Myanmar. I have an email address from which you can contact your friends and family
FACT SHEET - CONTINUED

What should you expect?

Adventure! And a chance to be welcomed warmly by a culture that remains unspoilt by tourism. Myanmar is an extremely photogenic place, so bring plenty of film or digital media storage! You could be witnessing 1500 monks taking lunch one minute, giving medicine to sick hill tribe kids the next, visiting stunning pagodas or watching leg rowing fishermen pulling in their catch.

I will endeavour to introduce to you to the local foods, people and culture by explaining everything from the local produce on sale in the highly colourful markets, inviting you to experience different foods and maybe even partake in some of Myanmars finer pastimes - karaoke!

Most importantly, I am completely committed to ensuring that you have a good time whilst touring Myanmar, so if you have any special requests or requirements, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Finally, my spoken English is good, but there is always room for improvement. Please forgive me if I make any mistakes!

Thank you, I look forward to meeting you.

I can be contacted by email on layko@mac.com As email access is limited in Myanmar, it may be a few days before i can reply. Thank you for your patience.
