Meet Mrs. Coro 2007-2008 School Year

  Mrs. Alina Silvestre Coro

4th Grade Teacher

RM 16

Welcome to FOURTH GRADE. This year will be an amazing roller coaster ride as both students and parents experience California history, science, algebra, language arts and Island of the Blue Dolphins. After seven years at Chaparral, I can honestly say 4th grade is action packed with an exciting curriculum and enthusiastic 10 year olds that are ready to conquer the world.
Like they say at Disneyland..."Hold on to them hats and glasses, because you're about to embark on the wildest ride in the wilderness!"

  Homework
Homework will be assigned Monday- Thursday, while silent reading is assigned every night for 20 minutes.
It is the STUDENT'S responsibility to write down their homework assignement in their binder, collect the nessesary materials from their desk, and complete their homework PRIOR to the next school day.
Homework is assigned to further a lesson, rather than to steal valuable time. Please be ready for the school day by having your homework completed and ready to be corrected.

Tests
Tests are necessary to measure how an individual student is progressing through the curriculum. The following overview will give you an idea to Mrs. Coro's testing schedule:
Language Arts: Weekly story test/ monthly unit tests / quarterly summative assessments
Math: Weekly chapter test / monthly unit test
