| Shur Farms S.I.S. selectively drains only the coldest air layer from the orchard/vineyard floor, expelling it upward 300 feet, where it is dispersed into the inversion layer. The warmer air can then move down and replace the cold air. S.I.S. is a mechanical device consisting of a vertical shaft with blades spinning horizontally, parallel to the ground. It may be used alone or with other frost protection methods (wind machines, heaters, sprinklers, etc.) to maximize their benefits.
