This home page is designed for the Specialized Training Institute Project in Jordan conducted by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) under the program of Japanese Official Development Assistance (ODA). Though this institute was established by not only Japanese assistance but also World Bank's, Japanese cooperation activities are mainly described in this home page. |

Background of Establishment |
|
|
The Government of Jordan has planned to establish new
vocational training institution at Amman industrial area in
Sahab under control of Vocational Training Corporation (VTC)
in order to plan of reinforcement of export competitive
power by quality improvement of industrial products and the
employment expansion, and the Government of Jordan has
requested the Government of Japan to provide project-type
technical cooperation program. |

Purpose of the Project |
|
|
To develop and implement suitable training courses in the
field of metal industries in order to train craftsman level
worker. |
||
|
|
Output of the Project |
|
|
Necessary training equipment and facility would be
prepared and the administration would be organized at the
Specialized Training Institute for Metal Industries (STIMI),
then the following training courses would be implemented

So far the academic career has been considered as his
technical skill level. And now VTC is implementing the
Occupational Work Organization Law, so every technical staff
should have the certificate of skill level from now on. |
