I love the smell of sawdust in the morning. But, we're off shopping for slate at Urban Ore. Calvin inspects the parts. Then off to select some bathroom hardware. or should it be white? More aluminum, clean lines, very clean, too clean? Choices, choices, all for a little soap. Back at Zocalo, work progresses. Sarah, of Kahn Design, meets with Chris, contractor & me. The seal goes down on the JavaGym floor. Looking into the JavaGym. The floors will be covered. With the JavaGym empty, Chris helps unload stuff. This is about a 1/4 of it, if that. Here's the other end of the container. Calvin hangs out while things go up around him. Here the glass is removed from the front windows. And away it goes. Here's granite being cut for the condiment bar. Preparing the condiment counter for the granite. Then put the granite in place. Note the large open space on the wall behind the counter? These will be faced with chalkboard menus. Here Mitch & Calvin watch, the doorway gets attention. A bit of a close up on the doorway work. Another box up on the wall. A light moment as the day comes to a close. Even later, Terry Z of Espresso Parts, starts his work. This man loves his job, and does it well. His son, playing on a picked up $35 guitar, entertained.
