Sept 29
Wainscotting, plate/art rails, bench seats, and condiment bars go in. Calvin approves.

Here's the wall by the rear entry. I love wainscotting.
Here's a close-up of the plate rail, or art rail in our case.
And an example of different sizes of art, over the kid's area.
Here's the built-in bench seat in the kids' area, almost...
And with beadboard backing, a seat, & storage underneath.

Here's installation of the special kid's area latte shelf.
Outside the kid's area, there's to be a book shelf
probably for free newspapers and the like.
Here you can see the start of the condiment counter.
And a close up (and no, that's not dangerous)
And a further view for perspective.
Calvin LOVES construction. So many cool toys.
Installing the wainscotting on the North wall.

That's Chris, an Aasand Construction partner.
Painting and opening the front top windows.
Finishing painting the art rail (so we can hang big stuff)
My brother Chris & Calvin survey the progress.
Here their lining up for tiling the hallway & bathroom floor.
With tiles like these, it's gotta be straight!
Calvin gets to lend a hand. Thanks to Juan Carlos.
Progress is a lovely thing. And that's our mop sink.
This close-up was sent out in the email, here it is larger.
And here is one of the tiles in-place in the bathroom.
Finally, here's JavaGym, with trim (unpainted) and more.
