Ok, now things are really picking up!
Painting, framing, tiling, it's all coming together. Which just means more work for me!

The room prepped, floor covered, for mudding and painting the walls and ceiling.
Calvin's trying to help clean.
but keeps getting distracted... he loves plumbing.
Sanding the plaster on the sheetrock. It was like winter with snow falling...
It's like Zocalo in a Willy Wonka world... or maybe a clean room.
The little-roaster-that -could seems so lonely in all that white.
This is Hank Aasand, one of our the two partners of Aasand Construction.
Finally, paint! Hope you like the color. That's my brother Chris.
And here's a bit of the floor, a brick-red concrete.
Then they set up a wood shop in the middle of the space. It's quite a set-up.
Freddie's the man in charge and knows what he's doing. The work is the proof.
So, Freddie and his crew get to work.
Here's they're bolting and gluing a low wall surrounding the roaster.
Here's what it used to look like in the JavaGym before painting.
And here's Chris inspecting the plans. The mirrors are prepped for painting.
Paint for JavaGym, called Mother Earth. Those are changing rooms and an office.
A view of the hallway mop closet from the JavaGym, roaster in the background.
From Zocalo into the JavaGym. The lights are for working in the bathrooms.
Working on the ceiling and skylights after painting the walls.
Framing kid's area wall & bench seat. It looks boxy, but it's not done ye...
More gluing and bolting of the low walls.
At the front of the roaster will be an 11' wood bar across from the kid's area.
Plugging away at the wood.

Peru tiles the bathroom walls. He does great work.
Work on the wainscotting, the plate rail of which will also serve as an art rail
Finishing touches on the JavaGym ceiling.
Peru works his way up the walls.
The middle section finished. There will be black top and bottom edging.
And these are detail tiles that will be in the bathrooms. You'll see...
The workshop in full swing.
Lastly, for this update, here they are installing wainscotting. More next time!
