Renovation - Aug 3rd, 2005 We've reached the point of concrete! The JavaGym is poured and the rest should be done by end of week. Hooray!

After getting down to bare dirt, level, place 4" of gravel. On top of that goes a moisture barrier, plastic. Calvin loves the open space. On top of that goes 4" of sand. and wiring tubing. As you can see. Here Hank directing things in the JavaGym. They're leveling and tamping, in preparation for... the sand, on top of which is metal mesh, on which goes Concrete! And lots of it, I can tell you. So that it very quickly goes from sand to ... Concrete floor. These guys work fast. Closing in on the end of this section of floor. Just about done pouring it out. Then smooth it off. The comes the Trowel Machine... The helicopter... Which does the work of four men and their friends. But to get it just right, it has to be done by hand.
