The United States is right next door (well, actually, it is across the lake) and is the first foreign

country that both of us visited. We were young children at the time.

The US is a beautiful country with many things to see. To top it all off, one of Shirley's sisters,

her husband and grown family live there in 3 different states - a good reason to visit.
