Walt Disney Concert Hall


Jenn and I went to Frank Gehry's masterpiece in LA, check it out! i love Gehry's work, I met him once at an art gallery in LA a couple of years ago. He offered to buy me a drink at a hosted bar, clearly he has a sense of humor. One day I'll check out his building in Bilbao Spain.

What is art?


I heard a quote that the best art is on people's refrigerators. One of my favorite quotes is by Picasso "There are painters who transform the sun into a yellow spot, but there are others who transform a yellow spot into the sun." I went to art school in San Francisco with a cool guy/photographer/lighting technician named Anthony Powers, at least once a week we would argue over what was art. Anthony was far more liberal than i ever was. He was convinced that WWF wrestling and Monster Truck racing was art and that I was an elitist for making separate categories (that wwf wrestlers were not in) for Rodin, Edward Westin, and Caravaggio. Seminar At Women in Creative Photography


Hi everyone,
Last week I co-taught a seminar with Luci Dumas with the amazing ladies at wicp.org Women in Creative Photography. The idea was to break into small groups and create some editorial/lifestyle images. I broke away with Diana and Julia and started to shoot some fun portraits of Diana when we suddenly got invited into the Dharma Bums Meditation Center and ended up having a more centered morning chatting with Jeff and making some portraits of our new location.

Housewarming


Finally, I decided to throw a house warming party. It was time to invite friends over and show off the new design. Jen Morrison of Spaced Designs recreated my shabby condo into a chic little studio. I'm super thrilled with all of her work and it was nice to leave all the decisions in her capable hands. We had a lot of fun!

Silverside @ the House Of Blues


I was so stoked to be able to photograph local San Diego band Silverside when they played the
House Of Blues in November. They were rad! And how cool is it to have a back stage pass at
