Vanessa + Steve Out of this world

You may remember Vanessa and Steve from their awesome water, fire, sky, earth engagement session, you know the one with the helicopter. Well the wedding was just as out of this world. Vanessa and Steve constantly surprise me, and I just love being in their company because I know anything can happen. I know the Walker family pretty well too so i was doubly happy to see Peggi's daughter get married. And on top of that double happiness is the fact that Peggi is none other than Peggi Walker of Metro Floral. So here's what happens when you combine 2 beautiful people with a great take on life and the industry scoop, Metro Floral, Lynn from Pure Planning, Tim Altbaum the DJ, Denise from Continental Catering, good food, good fun, good times, 2 families, and a whole lot of love.

Justina + Lindsay tie the knot ;) Estancia

Yay my friends Justina and Lindsay got married!! I love when my friends pick me to shoot their wedding, it's so so so much better than being a guest. I get to move around during the ceremony, i get to see everything from so many angles, and i get to look into their eyes on a close up lens and see their eyes fill with tears during the vows. My stomach catches just thinking about it. I met both Justina and Lindsay before they met each other and i couldn't imagine a better match. So I'm pretty darn happy to be blogging this post right now =)
The whole day was held at La Estancia in La Jolla. Shelly at Bella Sera Events created a beautiful day start to finish. The reception was a dream, beautiful lighting and linens, Haydee's flowers were gorgeous colorful arrangements that made the room shine. And I have to mention The Fabulous Ultra Tones, they were sensational, the dance floor was packed and nobody was ready for them to play the last dance. So here they are!!

Staci + Byron Destination San Diego

Staci and Byron's wedding was fabulous night. The guest list was paired down to only their most intimate friends and everyone flew in from all over the states to be a part of their celebration. Natasha from ANF Events created a beautiful design and Staci was so thrilled when she walked into the reception. I loved watching her face light up. The florals were even more beautiful than Staci described them to me. Dawn from Embelishment did a stunning job.

Congratulations to Tara and Jonathan!!! The wedding was so much fun, it was great to finally meet Tara in person after so many long chats on the telephone.
The balloons under the chairs for all of the kids was such a sweet touch. Check out their cake toppers, i loved them!!

Lisa + Josh The Omni 9.29.07

Starfish... When i first met Lisa, i thought wow what a really striking stylish girl and then as she was describing her downtown wedding she mentioned starfish, and i thought hmmm urban-beach-chic, if anyone can pull it off Lisa can. Well she did. The roof top wedding had gorgeous giant leaves on either side of the aisle in between the rows of black chairs. The reception was gorgeous with uplights, custom linens, and a starfish touches on each table. And.. on one of the back tables was a frame with 4 pictures in it. The first picture was lisa holiding up a starfish as a small child, and the second josh holding up a starfish as a small child, and the third and fourth high school pictures of each of them. They knew each other in high school, how cute is that.
I guess I just thought it was amazing that they could incorporate so much of themselves in a gorgeously decorated ballroom. It was an emotionally filled day and I was really happy to capture some of the layers of LIsa and Josh.

Jesee + Dallas at the Del 9.22.07

These girls got style and did the whole wedding their "own way." The ceremony was outdoors on the lawn and all white, and had all the fun and sentiment that you would expect from Jesse and Dallas. The reception started with a red carpet entrance into a gorgeous red room with a modern twist on the classic red rose. Jesse and Dallas knocked our socks off with their first dance and set the stage for a dance floor that was hot all night.

Robbie + Brian More Than Anyone

I had such a wonderful time at Robbie and Brians wedding in Balboa Park. I shot the ceremony through teary eyes, it was so touching. Brian and Robbie are so open and their love for each other is palpable, not to mention their good taste and personal style. I was really honored to photograph their day and meet their friends and family. I'll let the photographs speak for themselves, but i have to tell you guys Brian is a sensational singer and he sang "more than anyone" to robbie at the reception and it was heart stopping.

Tina and Blake - Lucky in Love 7/7/07

"Tina and Blake, what a fun and laid back couple. They a wonderful wedding celebration with 5 days of activity and parties for their friends and family. Guests came from around the country, Canada and Europe to take part with the celebration. They had the ceremony and reception at his parent's estate with a beautiful tent draped in amber lighting and vibrant flowers. A black and white checkered dance floor along w/white leather furniture added to the ambiance. Five different food stations and 2 bars around the property kept guests eating and celebrating all night.
Hundreds of candles around the property added a touch of romance and warmth to a summer evening.

Jill + Thomas take on Mt.Shasta and get married their own way!

Jill and Thomas are pretty cool people, and I was really happy to photograph their wedding weekend in Mt.Shasta. They have style coming out of their ears, these two kids crack me up. I don't even know what to say...the guy playing the accordian, walking down the aisle to "stairway to heaven", having an all male dance contest for the garter, great friends, Thomas's funny faces, the marshmallows, the bilingual camp fire conversations,..... i could go on and on- jill and thomas are just cool, that's all....and the wedding was one heck of a day. Sherry + Chris flew in for a gorgeous wedding at the Darlington House

I had the pleasure to meet Sherry and Chris for the first time on their wedding day. I was really thrilled to meet two wonderful people who were kind enough to open up to me and let me see how much they care about each other, and gave me a chance to take some amazing pictures. Cheers to them and their amazing wedding!
"Sherry and Chris held their wedding celebration at the Darlington House in La Jolla. Thomas Bui Lifestyle created an elegant and chic ambience. For the ceremony, florist Annette Gomez laid down a chocolate brown aisle runner with 50 pounds of red rose petals. The bride carried a bouquet of deep burgundy peonies and green succulents. Each of her bridesmaids carried a different bouquet that matched one of the flower in the bride's bouquet. In the rose garden, Thomas covered the tables with kiwi/lime colored lamour linens and chartreuse dupioni napkins. Each napkin was adorned with a either an orchid or a succulent. "Cake" designed the 3-tier wedding cake.
Florals by Annette Gomez www.flowersannettegomez.com . Linens by Concepts Party Rentals, Tim Altbaum, Professional DJ, provided the entertainment.
