Little Luca wakes up

What a treat it is to meet and photograph little babies! Baby Luca is so cute, check out these photographs, he was sleeping when i arrived and it was really neat to watch him wake up. He had a smile on his face before he even opened his eyes.

Jimmy is a rockstar with the personality to boot! His mama runs the coolest shop in town! If you haven't been to Babycakes then your missing out. They have the coolest clothes for the hippest kids.
And knowing Sabina she will use the paul frank underwear strategically when Jimmy starts dating. I'm glad to be a part of that moment!!

Heck yeah! Lisa and Josh assignment:engagment session

I love my dvr, i love glossy magazines, i love watching america's next top model on Dino's boat, the list goes on.... So how happy was I when my new cool client Lisa calls me and asked me if we could do a shoot kind of in line with that month's Interview magazine's editorial spread on the cover girl (insert her name that i forgot). I had to laugh because i had tore out all the pages from that spread in hopes of convincing some of my rad clients to have some bold color fashion fun. Well to add to my list... I just love Lisa and Josh, the fabulous photographer Kaleb Scott who did the styling, Lisa's cool make up artist friends/lighting technicians, Whitney assistant extraordinaire, and cats on leashes =). have a peek! xoxo suzanne

Vanessa and Steve in the sky!

How lucky am i! yay Vanessa and Steve are getting married in November and they came up with a cool idea for their engagement session. We shot air, fire, water, earth as a cool theme for the engagement session, and guess what!! they rented a helicopter, wahoo! how cool is that?!? Not only did i get to hang out with them for the day and get to know them better as cool people who are madly truly.....but we also got to take to the sky! yay them!

Will and Carrie play ball

Saying that Carrie, Will, and I had a great day is a huge understatement. We knew we were going to make an awesome album to have the guests sign at their wedding, so we had to pull out all the stops and have an incredible engagement session. So what does will do? He gets us in to the ball park on it's day off. It was so much fun. I have to confess that i know zero-nothing about baseball, so i needed a little bit of guidance finding the bull pen =)

Lindsey and Justina playing dress up

Lindsey and Justina are 2 pretty rad multi-talented fabulous people. Lindsey has done a ton of wonderful non-profit work and is now taking over the world via computer and Justina seems to be a renaissance woman who makes awesome day-of-the-dead inspired paintings and boxes, is a massage therapist, and works in the education field and i'm super happy to call them both friends. Our engagement theme was "dress up" so needless to say, good friends = good times!

Robby and Brian take the stage!

Oh my gosh, Robby and Brian are so much fun! We had a cool theme for their engagement session of recreating movie scenes. What a great day, it was awesome. And there was a "twist" in the plot -the great zombie march. Ha, it was so funny in the middle of out Mary Poppins side walk chalk shot, what looked like the cast of Nightmare before Christmas came stumbling though my viewfinder by the hundreds.

Thomas Bui knows style

"Bride and Bloom magazine out out LA contacted Thomas Bui to be a featured designer in their summer 2007 edition. He is the 1st designer in San Diego to be featured in the magazine. Thomas came up with the concept of a "green" wedding. He used green bengaline linens and a matching overlay, both from BBj linens. The florals consisted of orchids, moss, garden roses, all in different shades of green, designed by Annette Gomez. Jennifer Duncan from CAKE provided the 2-tier coconut cake. Rentals from Classic and Unique Table top"
