Fruit (mostly tomatoes) |
In 2005 I grew tomatoes from seed. They were doing great. |
Full of flowers, very green and healthy. |
Popping out baby tomatoes all the time. |
The caterpillars did get a few. |
And they were 'grape' tomatoes, so I wasn't expecting them to be very large. |
But still I was happy with their progress. |
They were so pretty, and tasted so good. |
Especially the golden-yellow ones. But it was over 90 degrees for 3 months, and we had several hurricanes, so I only got about 125 tomatoes all told. Not much for the amount of work and cost of supplies. I may try again another year, but earlier in the year. |
The fig tree did good when I watered it every day, but it just got so hot I couldn't go out (my medication specifically says to avoid heat/bright sunshine, and it really does mess me up if I'm out in those temperatures.) |
The loquat tree had done well, too. Mmm, those are so good. I think they taste a little like a cross between lemons and pears. |
