| B7 Christmas Cards
|
| Most of these thumbnails show the front of the
card, except for the first one which only shows the graphics because reducing
the poem to thumbnail-size looked ugly. Click to get to the full page(s)
for printing & instructions for assembly. Some cards have inserts. Quite
often the inserts are in multiples, to get the most out of the paper, so
you won't need to print as many of them as the outer parts of the cards.

1993-This was done on ORmAC the first. No color, single page. The classic Christmas poem done in B7 style. Folded in thirds to fit into 'regular' envelopes- 4 1/8" X 9 1/2". |
1994-The second card is still a single sheet, but folds into 1/4 page size, which fits into 'invitation' envelopes-4 3/8"X 5 3/4".Originally Xeroxed on pale green paper. |
1995-The same folding as '94. Originally metallic confetti (glitter) spelling 'Merry Christmas' enclosed in the card, which was Xeroxed on pale green paper. |
1996-Still 4-fold into invitation envelope. Some were pale green Xeroxes, others were pale pink. |
1997-Invitation size, but done on 2 sheets with an insert cut to make a pop-up . The outside was Xeroxed on pale green & the inside was bright red with white-out painted over strategic areas. |
1998-technically similar to 1997-slightly more cutting & folding to make the pop-up. The outside was pink Xerox & the inside was pale green. |
1999 fit regular envelope. Outside pale green Xerox, with cut out holes revealing full-color pull- up insert done on inkjet printer with photo glossy paper. Cutting, pasting & folding. |
2000 fit invitation envelope, had 2 cut-out windows and a 'wheel' held in place with brass paper fastener. Outside done in color on inkjet printer on plain paper, 'wheel' done in color on photo glossy paper. |
2001 similar technique to 1999. Fit regular envelope. One cut out window, & pull-up insert. Outside full color printed on photo-quality non-glossy paper, inside full color printed on photo glossy paper. |
2002 fit regular envelope. Full color printed on both sides of 1 sheet photo-quality non-glossy paper. I ran out of time this year, so this is a simple one. |
2003 fit invitation envelope. Printed on both sides of 1 sheet of regular inkjet paper, then cut and folded to form a newspaper. Assembly is simple and relatively quick. Originally 3MB files reduced as far as practical to 340k for the 'front' page and 300k for the back page. I've put them on 2 separate web-pages. Front and Back. |
2004 fit invitation envelope. Printed on both sides of 1 sheet of regular inkjet paper, then folded in half lengthwise, then in thirds. Front (116k) and Back (140k) |
