Rabbit-frog
Frabbit?
This is ceramic, and because I was afraid of pieces breaking, I kept squishing it more and more compact. It was intended to be a rabbit, but it seems to have crossed with a frog. So it's really a ribbit... or possibly a frabbit? It's quite a bit smaller than the photo here.
Honey
Honey
This dog is made of ceramic-type clay, but I no longer had access to the school kiln, so it is simply air-dried and painted with acrylics. It's a stylized representation of my first dog, Honey. She was much prettier. Her ears flopped over at the tops, but they fell off the clay dog, so I changed to up-standing ears. She's a bit smaller than the picture.
Spot, the alien dog
Spot, the alien dog
This is Spot, the alien dog, made of air-dried ceramic clay, painted with acrylics. My brother Doug made a couple of extremely cool alien creatures. They were much better than Spot, but I have no photos of them. Spot seems to be part pig, and part armadillo. He's a little smaller than the photo.
Wire Rat
Wire Rat
This was the final exam in my 6th grade art class. Everyone was given a length of wire and an hour to make something with it. I quite liked my little rattie. He's just about the size you see here.
Pegasus
Weasel
This weasel above  is carved from a scrap of teak wood. For a while, my brother Doug had a job outfitting luxury boats, and he gave me this bit of wood. It's close to actual size.

The pegasus to the left is carved from balsa wood, probably the worst wood for carving. I wound up painting it to cover up all the bits I had to glue back on when the wood split. It's close to actual size, too.
