This Owl and the Pussycat Quillow was made for a lady whose favorite colors
are aqua and orange. This quilt was entirely my own design, using the Foundation
Piecing technique to make it possible to sew such fiddly little bits (the
owls' beaks, cats' noses and both creatures eyes are pieced, which would be
impractical otherwise.

This shows the quillow folded up and packed inside the pocket on the back
(This is not one of the blocks seen on the front of the quilt.)See
Space Quillow
for more detail on the folding process.) Normally quillows are fairly small,
because it is easier to fold a lap-size quilt into a pillow, but this is
quite a bit larger and folds up into quite a hefty pillow. I also took
close-up photos of a few of my favorite blocks from this quilt.
