Dressed Teddy Quilt |
I was in a hurry to mail this, so I took the photo indoors, lying across
a bed loaded with pillows, wrapping paper, mailing boxes and several cats.This is a pre-print fabric. I did the quilting on the sewing machine, using patterns I made of a teddy bear, and a heart in clear contact paper. Stitching around simple shapes in a random fashion is called 'Cookie Cutter Quilting. |
 This is the back, where I had fun piecing various fabrics that were all too small individually to be much use.The unifying theme for the whole quilt is 'Teddy Bear Hearts'. The print at the bottom is teddy bears' valentines. The stripe on either side has tiny teddy bears and even tinier hearts. There are a few hearts on the panel on the front as well. Teddy bears and love go together like pussycats and purrs. It's a small quilt- almost a 'crib' quilt size, but not quite... good for a travel quilt, I hope. |
