Cross-stitch 3

Cairn terrier
When I was in England in 2003, the daughter of one of my hostesses gave me this cross-stitch kit of a Cairn terrier.

I finished it quite a while later after I got home, and made it into a tiny quilt, suitable for warming a tiny teddy bear.

Thanks once again, Lindsay.

Ballerina bears pillow
Yet another kit from the thrift store.

It was supposed to be a framed picture, but I think a pillow is more fun.

Besides, this way I got to use some pretty material from my stash.

It's got a zipper on the bottom, in case it ever does need a bit of washing.
Ballerina bear pillow backAnd this is the back of the pillow.

If you look closely, you'll see that the binding is yet another teddy bear print.

That one is tiny teddies holding pink hearts
Fruit basket
Hmm.. I just noticed this picture isn't centered in the frame.

Ok, I fixed it, but I'm too lazy to take another photo.

This pattern was from an old women's magazine (the magazine is old, not the women). I did the stitchery in  1984, but the magazine was probably from the late 1960's or early 1970's.
