Barnstormer Quillow These  'Barnstormer' airplane prints were a lucky find in the fabric store- they'd been cut into pairs, instead of being left as yard goods, which meant a person had to be imaginative to figure out how to use them.
For the back I had a piece of fabric with old-fashioned airplanes on it, but it was too small. So I added a strip with hot-air balloons and barns, then a stripe with black & white cows, and finally a strip with farmland. Remarkably, they all meshed together so well it looks like a single fabric, despite being made by different manufacturers (and over a number of years.) Just goes to show,  you really need a piece of every cotton print in existance. (Ah, an excuse!)
