Ring-neck Snake |
| I moved a pot and this pretty little creature was underneath. He was about 10 inches long.

Unfortunately,
when I moved the pot he was fatally injured. He was alive when I took these
photos and I moved him to a sheltered spot and hoped he would recover, but
he had gone on to reptile heaven the next day. | |

The jury returned
a verdict of Accidental Herpicide and sentenced me to 100 hours of snake-community
service. I am to give speeches at the local snake schools, warning little
slitherers of the danger of remaining under a pot when other nearby pots
have just been moved. | |
