| My cousin Carol and Flash (the
pony) in 1975. My cousin Leslie brought Flash home from the pony ring where
she worked for the day. That was fun. |
![]() | Before you feel sorry for the
pony, remember they're stronger in relation to their size than horses. And
dad only posed for the picture and got off. I think the tiny saddle may have had something to do with that. |
![]() | London Zoo, 1974. Wasn't that a beautiful set of matched ponies? |
![]() | 1977- An appaloosa tied to the
hitching post of a convenience store near a small 'ranch' where people could
keep horses not too far from me. It's probably all houses now... sigh...
I prefer horses to houses. |
![]() The same day and the same ranch as in the above picture. Sampson's ranch wasn't very large, I walked around and took pictures of the prettiest animals in less than half an hour Aren't these ponies adorable? | ![]() |
![]() | I'm not sure whether this was at Sampson's ranch. There wasn't much greenery there. I think these horses were either thoroughbreds or quarterhorses. Haven't they got beautiful faces? |
![]() | I believe this is the same chestnut horse as in the above photo. |
| Same day, might have been the same
bay horse as two photos above. The pictures had gone purple with age, so
I had to color-correct them and I may have been inconsistent in the photos. I always loved the coloring of bay horses best. |
| Then again, this strawberry roan is lovely, too. This looks like Sampson's ranch-the ground was all light-colored sand. |
