| Trinket was another miniature horse at the attraction in 1983. Don't you just want to pick it up and cuddle? |
| There's a nice horse-laugh. These mini-horses were the friendliest little guys, more like dogs than horses. |
| Brown Ink and Pompano Boy stage a harness race. I thought Brown Ink had a better balanced gait, but Pompano Boy won. |
| Hmm.. I had the same name on this
photo as the first one... I don't thnk they had two miniature horses called
Trinket and the name-plate on this one's stall doesn't begin with a 'T'. Ok, we'll give it a name. How about 'Dusty'? |
| They had the horses all over the place, and no one minded if you petted them or fed them a bit of grass. It was a lovely, relaxed day. |
| Oh, Pompano Boy was irresistable. That's dad's hand coming down to pet him. |
| This is Princess. She was cute, too. They all were. In the years since we saw these minis, the breeders of miniature horses have produced some much smaller and more horse-like, but I don't care how these little guys would have ranked at a mini-horse show, I thought every one was wonderful. |
| In 1985 there was a Paint horse show in Estes Park, Colorado. They were all beautiful, but I didn't get all that many photos worth sharing. Here are two of the best. |
| It was fairly late in the day by
the time we got there- in fact the gatekeeper waived the admission, because
there wasn't much left of the show. That was nice. |
|
This was also in Colorado. I don't recall exactly where. Bother, I see a bit of edge from the photo next to it when I scanned it in. Ignore that. It's not there. But the horse is. |
