What are friends for?
When just about every Israeli voice that makes it
onto the TV news seems to applaud the devastating attacks on Gaza, it's a relief
to be reminded of organisations like Machsom Watch (Checkpoint Watch), a voluntary
movement of Israeli woman dedicated to monitoring and reporting human rights
violations at checkpoints in the West Bank and Jerusalem. This video was made by
a member of Machsom

About this Blog
This started out as a patchy journal about family life with my mother-in-law, Mollie, who has Alzheimers and was then living with us. Mollie has moved, first into a "low-care facility" then, in July 2004, into a nursing home. As these and other events have overtaken us, the blog has moved on ...
