Swapna Dutta interviewed

Swapna Dutta is an Indian writer for children. I don't think she has a huge following in Australia, but a number of her stories have been published in The School Magazine. Since a couple of my regular readers know Swapna's work, I thought they might be interested in this interview with her. Does anyone else find it fascinating that a series of children's books can be popular in one part of the English-speaking world, and yet completely unknown in other parts; that an award-winning author in India can have to struggle for publication elsewhere? Of course it can only happen if the place where the series is popular is on the 'periphery'.
