Bay Springs Lake

It is amazing what a lay around day like yesterday can do for your mental
health. Today was a work day. A work day is a minimum of four hours. We
try to make it a maximum also. We cleaned the boat. It was very dirty. It
took all four hours of scrubbing, but the reward of an afternoon sipping rum
and laughing with my Co-Capt'n makes it all good again.

Tomorrow we will finish the interior cleaning and I will jump down turn
around in the engine room or the "holy place". Still haven't found the
engine oil leak. It seems be leaking from the back. But I will tighten up
the pan and see if that helps. It is time to check the zinc pencils again
and to check the batteries. The next day, if all goes well in the engine
room, I will change the zincs on the shafts and rudders. We will also brush
down the bottom and clean the salt water running gear of the salt water
creatures that I am sure are holding on to prop, shaft, struts and other
areas. This fresh cleaner water will make it easier to use the dive gear
and do the job correctly.

This location is wonderful. We saw no boats today and only two fisherman
yesterday. The weather has been wonderful with afternoon storms everyday.
Right now it is 2000 hrs the sun is setting and there is a mist hanging over
the water. It is cool this evening and will be cooler when we wake in the
morning.

I guess tomorrow it will be time to throw out a line and see if we can catch
catfish dinner. We may stay here until our food runs out. Then we will be
force to move on since there is no shopping in near area.

Oh, my! It is time to read and then sleep, Oh blessed sleep.

From the masters quarters
