oct 20 song for the day

Ebony and Ivory by Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder

Actually, I woke up with another song, a worship song, but after I did my devotions (that consisted of reading Scripture online and praying), I started reading from some of my favorite Iraqi blogs, and this other song popped into my head and refused to go away. I mean as I was searching hard inside my memory for the song I woke up with, the words to Paul McCartney's song just got louder and drowned out all thought. So, I decided that maybe this was the song for the day instead. It does have profound meaning, after all. "live together in perfect harmony"

Ebony and ivory live together in perfect harmony
Side by side on my piano keyboard, oh lord, why don’t we?
We all know that people are the same where ever we go
There is good and bad in ev’ryone,
We learn to live, we learn to give
Each other what we need to survive together alive.

Ebony and ivory live together in perfect harmony
Side by side on my piano keyboard, oh lord why don’t we?

Ebony, ivory living in perfect harmony
Ebony, ivory, ooh

We all know that people are the same where ever we go
There is good and bad in ev’ryone,
We learn to live, we learn to give
Each other what we need to survive together alive.

Ebony and ivory live together in perfect harmony
Side by side on my piano keyboard, oh lord why don’t we?
