Isaiah 12:3

With great joy, you people will get water from the well of victory.

This was part of my Scripture reading today. It just leapt out at me. Yesterday, when Greg got the call that he was officially being offered the management position in Tacoma, his initial reaction was NOT one of joy, but of disappointment because it wasn't' the market he wanted, and it wasn't for very much pay. So, I took my clues from him, initially, and fought against the dark clouds hanging over this occasion that should otherwise be joyful. But, after talking with my children, who both gave me the advice to focus on the good things, and to be like the 2 optimistic spies and not the 10 pessimistic spies (Numbers 13), I won that battle and ended the day with intense joy. So, ironically, did Greg. We were both giddy by the time he got home from work.

Now, today, with a new day dawning upon our life changing circumstances, everything's coming up roses and daffodils (with respect to Ethel Merman), my song of the day, all of my thoughts, congratulations from well wisher in emails, etc. Even my daily Scripture reading is full of promises. I am very excited.
