Mac OS X, Static IP.

1. Choose System Preferences from the Apple Menu.

2. Click on Network.

3. Choose Active network ports in the Show pop-up menu.

4. Drag the Ethernet port until it is at the top of the list. Deactivate all other ports. This will ensure that priority is given to the Ethernet port.

5. Choose Built-in Ethernet in the Show pop-up menu.

7. Click the TCP/IP tab and configure as shown. Click the Apply now button and finally click the red button in the upper left corner to close the window.

You will now be able to connect to the internet and surf to all your favourite websites.
