The Labola Village is fairly spread out. Family groups live close together
in a compound and their are many compounds
Everyone shares although there is a sense of ownership for some things.
The words “sister, brother, mother, father” are used for everyone in
the village. You would have to ask about parents to know if they

are brother or sister as we would mean.
Children are working members of the family as soon as they can walk.
If a child is asked to do something, there is no argument. They work the
fields, tend to the animals, take care of babies and each other. . .
