My house
Looking through my back windows in the main room.
Some pintades walking along my courtyard wall. These things are like evil cousins
of the chicken. They fly up onto my metal roof each morning and run back and
forth. It sounds like someone playing basketball up there. Not the greatest alarm
to have.
One of the family dogs who likes to hang out around my
house. I think he knows that I’m less likely to eat him.
My mom’s house across from my own.
Behind my house looking toward some more of my family’s
compound. We’re a big family.
View out my courtyard door. Still waiting
for the door and the cement for the
walls. Each rain they melt a little more.
On the advice of my counterpart, I’m
withholding money that PC owes the
COGES until the work is finished. It’s
been four months now.
