If you know me at all, you know what good friends Davis and I have become over the past 17 years. I have my wife Rona to thank for this. She interviewed with Davis 17 years ago. While the career fit was not what she was seeking, she told me "you have to meet Davis, the two of you are destined to become great friends." She was right.
So about 10 or 12 years ago, Davis comes to me quite excited about TED. We then had years of discussion about my attending. I say this politely because he all but gave up on me -- when I said "I'll go." And now that I've been twice, I can't imagine NOT going to TED!

The other 361 days of the year when Davis is not at TED, he is a devoted family man and principle at Cheskin. After handing over the control of the company he spent years guiding to Christopher, he has taken on the new role of "Catalyst" and is off lighting fires under the who's who of branding, consumer experience and design.
